Do you want to tell us what Windows programs? SOME Windows programs will work on Linux, SOME will not.

Have you tried using PlayOnLinux? It is an easier thing to use. Still has Wine at the back of it but the front-end is simpler. https://www.playonlinux.com/en/

Easy Linux says using Wine is discourage. https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.com/p/wine.html

An alternative is to either dual boot or use Windows in Virtualbox inside Linux.

Greetings @wildcat374 ,
I am also running Linux Mint 19.3; and I have wine running on my LM.
Here's a screenshot of the two apps I installed.

All I know is that it works with both of them installed.

i cant even get wine to work it no where to be found after i install it in my linux mint no ware...........

In Linux Mint, click on 'Menu'..(bottom left hand corner)....the type in 'Software Manager'......when the software manager window opens, type the names that have a green tick beside them (in Charlies post immediately above your last post)(wine-stable and after you have installed that Wine ) ....... installing them will be a simple matter of clicking 'Install' over on the right hand side for each of them.

You should find both of them in the Menu.

Sometimes a reboot is necessary after installing them.

Again, click on menu, and type the name of the app you are looking for eg, w i n e .....etc

Give that a try

As @arochester explained....not all windows programs will work using Wine.

His request to name the windows programs you want to run has not been answered.

Please do so.
