Hey so this is completely off-topic cuz it's not linux related at all
I actually need help with my ("lenovo tab 2 a10" i think) device
One time i reflashed the software to an old version cuz it was laggy
But now i want to upgrade it back
But when i check for updates it keeps saying that it couldn't connect to the server while i WAS ONLINE

I tried contacting the official lenovo website they replied but their methods didn't help at all and don't get me started on how basic those steps were, i tried factory reset, reconnecting the wifi, and their stupid lenovo software or whatever app which didn't even recognize my LENOVO tablet

I'm only contacting this website cuz in my opinion it's more reliable and has more realistic replies

this device came with android 4.4 [Kit Kat] we are now on Android 14, it is not the responsibility of Google to provide updates, but that of the machine maker, as each make will be modified for its own products, therefore life expctancy of a android installation is between 2 and 5 years [read your handbook it should be in there.] you might be able to install something like Debian Arm or Arabian or even Alpine, the16gb eMMC is too small for Parrot, Mint, Mint LMDE and the like

I got that tablet in 2016
I did the reflashing in 2022 and the update service was still available back then

If the update service is shut down
Then I'll either try to find the newest rom for it
Or maybe somehow install linux into it
