Hello forums,

I never really drew any conclusions about AI as I've never used AI until now.

Wife and I use pay as you go cell phones and usually have no problems moving from an old cell phone to a new cell phone until today.

Called the cell phone customer support which is usually or has been in the past a big PITA and I was greeted today by an AI assistant.

Well the AI assistant ask a few questions to verify my cell phone account and than asked what I was needing to do so I answered activate a new cell phone.

The AI assistant then sent a text to verify I was the account holder and I returned the verification code I was sent.

Once verified I was asked to give the IMEI number aks the serial number and in less than a minute I was told to restart my new cell phone which I did.

The AI assistant told me to make a call to see if my phone worked which I did and all was good.

I have to say I was impressed for my 1st AI experience.

So as of now I have no complaints about my 1st AI experience.

Just thought I'd pass my experience along.

I will say my experince with AI assistant on my cell carrier did not go so well ended up with two phones that could not connect to the network. finally had to talk to a real person to get it fixed. :(

I recently replaced my very old phone. All I had to do was swap the SIM and then follow the prompts on the phone -- which actually required a second phone for one of the steps. There was no AI involved. Also, I have yet to jump on the eSIM bandwagon, though the replacement phone has that ability.

Sounds as though I may have just gotten lucky.

Usually I can change from cell phone to cell phone online although sometimes it can problematic.

I believe my cell phone carrier is always making system upgrades and their upgrades seem to be problematic now and then.

Oh well all is good for another year now so no worries.

Sounds as though you are using unlocked cell phones which you can move the sim card from cell phone to cell phone.

I don't know about using eSIM as I prefer the option of physically being able to remove the SIM card myself.

Yup, though it can be locked to the same carrier and still work.

I distrust AI. your IMEI and Serials and whatnot may ended up somewhere where neither you nor owner of AI services has any idea about.
PC are a security vulnerability, AI is same, multiplied 10000 times.
I try not disclosing anything that I am not afraid of losing.
