This is a good guide to follow. I will say if your trying to install without entering a pass word don't use a password.
Also make sure secure boot is turned off and if it has quick start turn that off also. Mint 21 is a good release works well.
If you could give us a little more info on you machine it would help us to help you.

Strange one, Mint doesn't usually give this sort of problem. Have you disabled windows fast start, did you remove the installation medium after installing and before re-booting?
