Lost password and locked keyring

I guess/know that when I downloaded linux in my rush I somehow misplaced pass and got confuse.

As a result I can't get passer administrator question resulting I can't download linux. I'm in a mess. HELP ME SOMEONE!

Which Linux version are you using? Also, let me get this straight. You can log in as a user, but you can't switch to Root?

I think that I'm using 11. I can log in as user, but when I attempt authenticate/enter password I'm blocked by prompt saying wrong password or keyring not unlocked.
