listserv and usenet

When I join a listserve group I cannot see anyone elses posts. All I can do is send a message to everyone. How is usenet supposed to function?

When you load it, you should see recent posts in your newsgroup reader. You may need to look in the settings and tell it to retrieve x-amount of posts.

Also, you could try checking with your ISP (or whoever is providing the service). I'm a bit surprised to even see 'usenet' in print these days. Man, I miss newsgroups... Alas, I have no free time for that.
