Technically you can't install Linux on Windows, typically it runs independently of Windows.
You can install something like Oracle VirtualBox and run Linux as a VM under Windows.

There is something called WSL for Windows - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install
But it's not really a full implementation of Linux.
