linux license information

good morning guys. I'm new here and I do not know if I'm posting right. I need to know where I'm looking for an official source where it says the type of Linux operating system license. I do not have a version of preference yet.

The license generally referred to is a ::Creative Commons License

THIS is also worth a read ....the info there does not just apply to Australia.

would be more the same as GNU license (Public License)?

Does the type of license worry you, guguhaas ?....are you expecting some of the draconian inclusions which are present in Microsoft license agreements ?
