Hello!

Every time I connect to a known network, Kubuntu asks for the network password. Even if I restart the Laptop, it instantly asks for it.
Even if I save the password in the WiFi configuration and hit "Apply", it still asks for a Password in a separate dialogue box.

Thanks!

Which browser are you using ?

Maybe setting up KDE wallet will prove as useful. That way you may not have to type the passphrase in every time.

You can also do it from the command line.

nmcli device wifi connect YourSSID password YourPassword

nmcli dev wifi conn MyWifiHotSpot password 's3cr3tp@$s'

You shouldn't have to be root to do this.
This should make your connection/password persistent across a reboot or logout.

I'm using Brave mainly. Librewolf for private browsing.

I have just enabled this thank you. A good workaround for now. Until I find a solution to fix at source.

Great news thanks. I'll try this and test tomorrow when I re-enter certain Wifi networks.

You're welcome. Glad it works for now.

does the error on screen resemble this?

"An application wants access to the keyring "default keyring", but it is locked

?

Hi there. There is no error message, it just has a box pop up asking for a password. The same box that pops up when you first connect to a network. For me, this happens everytime.

have you reset/rebooted the router ?

Into network settings and "forget this network".....(tried that?)

And then set it back up again...password etc etc
