Hello sankar,

Are you using the "open source graphaics driver" ?

open the terminal and post copy and paste this command and then post its output.

lspci | grep -i vga

open the terminal and post copy and paste this command and then post its output.

inxi -Fxz | grep -i display

It sounds as though you have a driver issue and from my experience using ATI Radeon / AMD Graphics cards / Integrated Graphics etc that the "open source graphic driver" gives the best results.

If your computer is new or fairly recent or has processor graphics a driver may not be available at this time.

It sounds as you may have already installed a PPA Graphics Driver although these don't seem to install and work well from my experience.
