If you’re a beginner...learning to use Timeshift is a must as it can come in very handy.
There are two ways to restore a Timeshift Snapshot...open Timeshift and choose a Snapshot and click Restore. The other way is to Boot to the Live Session because sometimes you may not be able to open Timeshift the normal way...an example...installing a new Kernel which results in a black screen upon Re-Booting.
The first thing is to Boot to the Live session...then type Timeshift in the search box and hit Enter.
Close the Setup Wizard...you’ll now see your Snapshots...select the one you want and click Restore.
Beginners please note...the above wont work if the Drive has failed...so it’s a good idea to also create an image of your system with either...Foxclone...Redorescue or Rescuezilla as it pays to be on the safe side.
