This is a follow up on a previous question from me.
I'm running Linux Mint Cinnamon on a laptop.
I need an android emulator to run an Ecoflow app.
From previous reading it looks like Anbox would be the one as I'm not a developer and only need it for the one purpose.
However I have no idea how to go about getting the emulator or the app and don't want to mess up my system.
Could someone kindly hold my hand through the process?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Mike, I've read it and it's scared the bejeezuz out of me. It seems to be aimed at games which I don't want. Just need to run the Ecoflow control app. So hopefully there's something much simpler.

It's not for games only, you can run what ever Android software you want.

Other alternatives include waydroid (requires wayland) or blustacks (requires VM).
There are other emulators but these 3 options are most popular with good compatibility.

Is waydroid easier to install? Other reading has said Anbox is a light weight emulator - is that any easier?
I'd point out I'm new to Linux and have been a long time windows user just for bookeeping and on line materials orders. So I have zero Terminal or coding experience.
In short - I have no idea how all this s**t fits together.

That's great, thanks.
How do I get them? Do I just type Anbox into Firefox?
