So basically once logged in, left click on Forums (not the drop down) that will give you a list of all relevant forums; click on one thats relevant. At top there's an empty text box , with grey 30% opacity text saying "thread title" type in that and away you go. You just need one or two things:
A problem
A question relating to your problem
Much information as possible about your problem with actual evidence, i.e don't say something I 've done everything , so whats my problem
The linux distro your using , name and release

Welcome to the forums
in addition to what @captain-sensible has said, also include full information on your box [make full model number]
and before you post, use the search facility to see if anyone else has had the same/similar problems, and possible fixes.
oh and do drop in to the intro forums and tell us a bit about yourself and your setup
