Solved Hi! Newer to Linux!~ Surface Pro 8 Install Woes...

Solved issue
Disable the boot configuration lock and try to install it again. And use "ext4" as file system instead of btrfs.
will do! Reinstalling LMDE now!

Grub is on and the Surf boots on its own!
Surface-kernel is installed. Works.

Just got to check secure boot.

Thank you everyone for your help!

Would I need to reinstall to get grub again? (It is there, just not being seen). Thank you all!
Boot configuration lock needs to be disabled to be able to write NVRAM variables, this is needed so that system can auto boot.
Yes install bootloader to SSD when asked in the installer not to external storage.

Here she is!

Secure boot is online too! Thank you again everyone!

Hi all again!~

I have decided to move on to Kubuntu- (Not enough customization for me on cinnamon)
Updates broke (Sadly) and APT is locked out.

I hope to get better compatibility with the Surface-Kernel through kubuntu.

Thank you All for your help!

Fedora has excellent hardware support as well. FYI.

Will try if Kubuntu does not work out!

Was also thinking Bazzite- Get the Win version of Rocket Leauge Installed!

Update- Kubuntu handles the touchscreen a LOT better than before. Registers inputs all good!
