I have been tinkering around with Linux off and on for 15+ years. I can make my way around the GUI well enough, but that's about it.

Here is my current "for fun" task. I run a program called Boinc on several old windows computers/laptops. I want to try to maximize the resources of each of them. Windows is a waste. I don't need it. I want to run a bare bones Linux destro with network support and the command line based version of Boinc, but i don't know what to use or where to look. If I can put this all together in a nice easy to use package, there will be a lot of happy Boinc users out there.

If anyone can help with this or at least point me in a direction, that would be great.

Thanks
Efreaq
