Any wonderful people out there know how I can install realflight 9.5 onto my Linux mint system? I used to run it in windows 10, but made the big move away.

According to their Web page they have an appimage which should work for you.
Download the appimage right click on the downloaded file and select Properties then permissions and check the box that says allow to executing file as program. Then it will run. you will have to manually add it to the menu though. But it runs fine on Mint.
