What @Alexzee means is that since you are running RHEL you are also paying for a RHEL subscription which allows you to contact their support for anything you run into, so why not make them work for their money. Read the post before thatI dont think i should call redhat for resizing it
Its like im using centos
You must have a developer subscription then?Im running rhel with no support subscription
lvextend -L +300G /dev/datavg/pgpetsrvdata_lv -r
That is not the output of the command vgs, could you please share all of the output of that command here as well as all of the output of the lsblk command because I want to see the overview of all of your disks and partioning not only the data volume group and volume, this way I know what your disk setup looks like so that I can actually help you figure this out.Size of logical volume datavg/pgpetsrvdata_lv unchanged from 150.00 GiB (38400 extents).
Logical volume datavg/pgpetsrvdata_lv successfully resized.
resize2fs 1.42.9 (28-Dec-2013)
The filesystem is already 39321600 blocks long. Nothing to do!
It doesnt work
Yes that's how it's done. I'm not able to guess your disk and partitioning setup that's why I was asking you for that information. Glad that helped you figure out how to do the rest yourself. So what i did i merged to vg and pvcreate then lvextend because i havent more space in the vg to expend the lv so its worked thx a lot
