Solved Document scanner not connecting on LMDE

Solved issue
Mike,

When I installed Cinnamon 19.1 a few years ago...the Scanner wouldn't work either and never got it to work...had to use my w7 VM.

Every time I have to buy a new Printer/Scanner...I always think is it going to work...all because they're designed to run in bloody windoze but us Linux people are much smarter...so we will find a way.

Yay! It works now. Did some tweaks with the chatbot's help, too. Thanks to all contributing with ideas.

The strange thing is that after restart I think my todays communication with the chatbot disappeared for some reason. I know what I asked the bot today and it isn't there after restart. I use free online browser version, not app. I wanted to share the commands that allowed me to fix it, but I cannot.
Nevermind, it works now and two devices are listed in the document scanner now. Before it was just one.

The strange with Epson is...when I install both Drivers for the Printer and Scanner in my w7 VM...Epson's scanning tool EpsonScan2 is installed automatically but that's not the case with Linux.

We have to find a Scanner that works but we can be lucky with the Mint Software Manager...I did a way to install EpsonScan2 tool which can be found here...https://flathub.org/apps/net.epson.epsonscan2 and it works.

The EpsonScan2 tool can be found in the Mint Cinnamon 21.1 Software Manager but not in 22.1 for reasons unknown.
