Developing Nucora Linux: A 14-Year-Old's Vision for a Debian-Based Distro

I’m a 14-year-old developer from Turkey, and I’ve been working on a project called Nucora Linux. While ST 1.0 was based on Debian 12 with systemd, I’ve decided to take a more traditional and lightweight approach for the upcoming ST 2.0 (Stable 2.0) version.
What’s new in Nucora Linux ST 2.0 (In Development):

• Base Upgrade: Moving from Debian 12 to Debian 13 (Trixie).
• Init System Change: Switching from systemd to SysVinit for a more minimalist and classic Unix-like experience.
• Custom Package Manager: I’m developing a tool called nux (using .nux format) to provide a unique but familiar terminal experience (e.g., nux install).

I haven't released the ST 2.0 version yet, as I'm still fine-tuning the init system and the package manager. However, you can check out the project’s vision on our official website:

I hope you attract as many devs to your project as possible, because otherwise you know, there are plenty of new distros popping out only to sink into the void after some time.

1 person alone it's very hard; you need successor to yourself at some point to leave your legacy to stand the test of time.

Considering what happened yesterday I would not feel safe downloading any software from OP let alone clicking that link. OP states he is from Turkey. Nothing against Turkey but probably a good idea to be a bit wary.

I'm wary of new projects in general, new devs need to prove themself first, just announcing a project is far from enough.

Nothing against any countries but you had an Arabic poster posting Turkish stuff whose last post was on Sunday. Site was hacked by a Turkish group on Monday and you have a Turkish poster the day after. Be alert.

Well, generalization is often wrong in sociology, I'd not judge individual people based on where they're from and similar.

I get where you are coming from but let's give everybody a fair chance, it's not about where they are from. It's about the project that they are sharing and working on.

in my school i cannot find anyone like me who is interested in tech/coding, so online communities like this mean a lot to me. I know its hard alone but I prefer to keep it solo until the project is more stable, after ST 2.0 is released I plan to open it up for contributors.

Nothing to do with any of that. No one is going to click on that link including yourself for the reasons I stated. The timing is bad. I just don't see any users from Turkey around here often. If there were it would be a different story.
