Seems like all the distributions mentioned there have Chromium in their official repositories so that the most recent version there will eventually end up the default repositories of all those distributions.

Yeah Chromium is all I've ever found in the repository.

I've used both of them in the past however seems that Google Chrome supposedly has some advantage over Chromium but damn if I can remember.

I believe Chromium is far less intrusive then Chrome.

I keep it installed and updated as my 'spare' browser.

it is quick and performs well.

However there is much more to this article than just which browser to use....fyi...the article attracted over 8 thousand comments and has a section devoted to Chromium Updaters........To update Chromium automatically.

Lots of reading and much to absorb.
