I have no idea what you are trying to say by saying that?
I said. Linux is not Windows or Linux is not the same as windows.
In coding,' != ' is comparison operator that means "not equal to".

I already know that that. I'm still not getting why you are saying that to me, what point are you trying to make or why did you say that to me?I said. Linux is not Windows or Linux is not the same as windows.

I'm just going to throw something out there, you may disagree but you don't have to do anything with it. At work we are required to update the bios/firmware of servers every now and then because it can have security vulnaribilities as well, workstations get their bios's updated automatically during Windows updates for the same reason as the laptop brand used support that by the vendor. Something to think about but you don't have to do anything with it, most modern BIOS's/UEFI's have rollback functionality now days, which wasn't back in the days of early BIOS's.a veteran of the computers would know about BIOS updates and when they are needed and would not just arbitrarily do one to get something to install.
@cherryduck Have you made any progress with your problem?Sad times. Does not matter what combination of sticks or slot usage, I get failures regardless. Starting to wonder if it's a motherboard or CPU issue, maybe my IMC is a bit screwed, who knows. Weird that Windows boots just fine if it IS a hardware issue.
