How do I access this? I typed nano .bashrc and gedit .bashrc and it says command not found. How do I edit this file?

When I typed : ~/.bashrc
I get this:
-bash: /home/markwilkinsjr/.bashrc: Permission denied

Hello MarkwilkinsJr Welcome to the Forum.

Is this chromebook running chrome OS? If so you'll have to install a text editor of some sort because it does not come with one out of the box. ChromeOS though based on the Linux Kernel is not really linux and does not normally come with tools to edit the file system. Give us some more information on your machine. Also you will have to enable developer mode to access any system files. This page may be of help with that Developer mode . Make sure you pay attention to the warning given you can bork you system quite easily.

Thanks, KC1di! I appreciate it!

Thank you for all that! I am now wondering if it is worth all that to go into developer mode. I wanted to add something to the .bashrc file. But I guess if I am to keep creating, I will need to do the developer mode. Just thinking it out.

These are is my info. I think this is what you are asking for. I am new to this btw.
