I was trying to instal Lutris. Since it i get the message, that Vulkan was missing i tried to install that to. After quick google i found out, that at least Nvidia driver 415.22 or newer was needed. Therefor i changed the driver from

X.Org-X-Server - Driver Nouveau from xserver-xorg-video-nouveau

to

NVIDIA driver metapackage from nvidia-driver-415

After i did that, i got the error message in the rop right cornern "BrokenCount > 0" I tried to fix the broken package depencies, but with no luck.

Can someone help me, fix my system? Below i added the results of
Bash:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo dpkg --configure -a
$ sudo apt-get -f install
$ sudo apt-get upgrade
$ sudo apt-get install [name] and $ sudo apt-get remove [name]

Bash:
$ sudo apt-get update

You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 libnvidia-ifr1-415 : Depends: libnvidia-gl-415 but it is not installed

No, we usually leave solved threads here for others to benefit from.

Perhaps you can tell us how you solved it. to help others?

Cheers and welcome to linux.org :)

Yea for sure!

The specific error message line of $ sudo apt-get -f install
Bash:
diversion of /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libGL.so.1 to /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libGL.so.1.distrib by nvidia-340
dpkg-divert: error: mismatch on package
lead me to google specific for that line. There i found this thread
https://askubuntu.com/a/1041703/1088790
which suggested
Bash:
$ LC_MESSAGES=C dpkg-divert --list '*nvidia-340*' | sed -nre 's/^diversion of (.*) to .*/\1/p' | xargs -rd'\n' -n1 -- sudo dpkg-divert --remove
$ sudo apt --fix-broken install
This fixed the problem for me.

That's great - thanks for sharing.

Enjoy your Linux, and your gaming?

BTW since last July, we have a gaming section, and since the focus here was on getting Lutris installed, I may move this Thread over there.

What say you?
