Bluetooth Connection issue in pop!os 22.04

Hello there ,
I am using latest Pop! OS(22.04) , and i am having issues with connecting my bluetooth headset to my laptop, (Works on win11 tho),
I have searched through youtube videos and even system 76 troubleshoot website, none of those work
Bluetooth sometimes gets connected by it doesn't recognise it as headset, so it is not displayed in sound settings

if it works in windows and not linux then we know it's not a hardware issue. couple questions:
  1. is the bluetooth adapter built into the laptop or is it an external/usb antenna (like those usb dongles you see with logitech devices)?
  2. what is the make/model of the laptop?
  3. what is the make/model of the headset?
  4. when you look in lsusb and lspci, what is the hardware id for the bluetooth device?

1.The bluetooth is internal adapter, it is a mediatek one
2. My laptop is lenovo loq 2024 one model- 15AHP9
3. The headset is CMF buds pro 1,
4. idk why but i run lsusb / lspci , it is not giving any output, but i also found out through hwinfo in win11 that, my bluetooth adapter is in a usb port
 
It should tell you something like "USB Linux generic root hub" or similar.
The thing is, it is an MediaTek chip with both wifi and bluetooth capabilities

ok thanks! so yeah, it looks like that's commonly used in conjunction with the MT7921 chipset, and it has had kernel support since v5.15, but there's some compatibility issues on multiple distros --> https://linux-hardware.org/?id=usb:0489-e0cd

did a little bit of research & it looks like you'll want to delete your bluetooth pairing config (if it exists) in linux, reboot, get into the bios, disable fast boot & set your suspend state to S3, then in linux try to re-pair the bluetooth device.

alternately, this may work:

usb_modeswitch -R -v 0489 -p e0cd

if nothing else, stop using PopOS - it's known to be problematic on non-System76 built computers.

man i don't know if i can thank u enough....really man thank you..... u really saved me a lot of time i wasted trying to resolve the problem, with just one command
