Hey Linux,

First post here but been a Linux user for many years now, I have an old Asus X205TA uefi is 32 bit but laptop 64, or something like that, I never managed to undertstand this properly, I'm running MX21 and it runs ok, I love the system actually but certain things don't work like the HDMI and the audio jack for instance, I'm open to try a differnt distro as it seems like this is a common issue on MX when it runs on this laptop model. I just want to be able to use the HDMI and the jack audio out, I mean it's an old laptop I'm aware even having MX is great for what the hardware is, I'm currently on fluxbox, but also tried xfce and have the same identical problems.

what distro do you suggest me to install?

You can start by digging down this rabbit hole:

There are links to follow and the links have other links, including some successful posts. It'll be up to you to go through that and see what the solutions are.

One solution may be as simple as changing the BIOS to run in legacy mode.

Otherwise, some folks here may be able to help you get your HDMI and audio issues sorted on MX.

If i have guessed right, this would be the entry level EEPC from around 2015
it is a 64 bit machine crippled by an atom CPU and restriction to 2 GB ram non-expandable it probably came with 32 bit Windows and should be UEFI

as 32 bit is all but dead try the 64 bit builds ..so I would suggest you try Bunsen Labs, Linux Lite, Antix Linux, Peppermint with Devuan base, or slightly heaver Debian stable with driver pack or Mint LMDE7 run each live from a pendrive and test that everything works before installing to main drive
