The European Commission is working on a legislative proposal called chat control. If the law goes into effect, all EU citizens will have their communications monitored and audited. Now is the time to stop it.

Those measures are supposedly for protecting kids and national security, but they not gonna used that way, they are just a step further to authoritarianism, people will end up been so careful on the internet that there would be no opposition to anything the government is doing, because they will threaten people with all their internet history
Yeah exactly it's not like professional criminals will abide to those laws and there are examples where already with the current access to information they weren't able to prevent something from happening. If they get access to everyone's private chats than that will become a bigger problem because if they are currently already overflowed with information it will be even worse if they get access to everyone's chat.

And that right there is the point in the new law, certainly not the protection of the average citizen. SMH at the world we now live in.
