News [9to5Linux] KDE Plasma 6.4.6 Released with Numerous Bug Fixes for Plasma 6.4 Users

News

This one may find favour with KDE fans

Among other changes, Plasma 6.4.6 fixes an issue that made the Applications table on Plasma System Monitor’s main page go blurry with certain scale factors, an issue that made the Media Player widget display filenames containing certain characters incorrectly, and a KWin crash when trying to look at a device’s orientation sensor.

I have read a number of posts that have mentioned fuzzy graphics.

Cheers

Plasma 6.5 was released some time ago.
+ available in "forky testing" repository.

cannot upgrade to that on q4os. because there is a conflict caused by "q4os-desktop" package. which asks for the elimination of "gcc" and other development tools. this doesn't make any sense at all. i don't care if this was fixed. definitely i'll wait until "forky" is on the verge of becoming the new "stable." before caring anything about it ever again.

Different distros have different versions of many packages. Trixie is still on 6.3.6. Those still running Bookworm are still on Plasma 5.x. I assume many small niche distros such as q40s remain well behind current versions of many programs. But 6.5 was released on Oct 21, however long it may take for various distros to accept it in their repositories.
