    Thanks for the information. I have made my own bootable USB before a few times. So just to be clear, you are saying their are bootable .iso images of whatever "flavor" of Linux I want to try, just have to find a reliable source to download?. My older PC is just sitting in my "bedroom" for now...

    I did see this though, "1. Due to different Linux support condition provided by chipset vendors, please download Linux driver from chipset vendors' website or 3rd party website.". So I guess I'd check the Intel website.
