poor microsoft, they can't handle the consequences of their actions in the slightest.

I ran into this same sort of problem when I set up a new laptop (Unfortunately I Winblows is a requirement for me now). I wasn't allowed to use certain words, or certain partial words to name the new laptop or the MS Outlook account I was forced to create, stuff like "F__k U MS. I managed to think of a way to get my opinions into the account name!

most of my info here comes from twitter, so take it with a grain of salt. We all know that the forced ID crap that is being promulgated is NOT "to protect children", but to surveil every aspect of our lives. Some have said that it won't affect linux, except perhaps the commercial distros. Regardless of the veracity of such a statement, it seems that the linux forums, using the "cloudflare" scam, could be easily forced into part of the surveillance network simply because cloudflare has the ability as a gatekeeper to prevent anyone or any group of people from using the forums. Seems like a weak spot to me.
