I wanted the post deleted because the original post which I altered, wasn't useful for readers. But since @deb_user responded, I guess it can't be deleted. As @deb_user pointed out, the appearance of the images in post #1 are a local issue I discovered, so I posted before properly investigating the matter.I think it may have to do that certain videos on Youtube have Geo-blocking and that with embedded videos you get that then. What do you want deleted?
That's the forum functionality where Youtube videos automatically get embedded or something like that.To expand a little, when members link to a youtube video, the image of the video appears, but I regard it as waste of screen space and would prefer a simple http/https link in the text which readers can use just as effectively to reach the link. I guess there's some technical advantage of the current display preference, but I'm not familiar with it.
Do you mean you wish to delete the the preview looking thing after you post?On the issue of deleting a post, I wasn't able to find a delete button for the original post whereas in the past I have used such a button to remove a hastily made or redundant post, so my question is: is there way to delete such posts that I may wish to delete for good reason?
I wanted to delete my whole post #1 that I originally wrote, and then edited. There was no delete button to do that, at the time I was trying to delete it. I also couldn't delete the image by highlighting it and pressing delete on my keyboard. It was very disconcerting because I lost control of what I wanted to actually say in the forum. That's the forum functionality where Youtube videos automatically get embedded or something like that.

Oh that! That's how the forum software is setup or works(don't know which, but I think the latter as I've seen it on other forums using the same forum software). That after 5 minutes or so normal users can't delete a post or topic anymore, they can then only be edited.I wanted to delete my whole post #1 that I originally wrote, and then edited. Okay. At this moment, my post #4, written at 17 minutes ago, has a delete button. My post #8 of 6 minutes ago has a delete button. In the past I recall being able to delete posts after longer periods had elapsed too. I understand that deleting a thread starting post which another member has answered can't be deleted.Oh that! Sorry I had removed it, as I thought it's probably not relevant information anymore since it's really old information, from 2016. I'll just share it here again. Thanks for the link to xenforo. It should enable my own links to youtube to be just the URL instead of the embedded format currently common.
