I know the wireless is supported, all I need is the identification of the wireless adapter to select the correct firmware.

thanks in advance,

Please type “inxi —help” (mind the two dashes) or “man inxi” to review all options…
cheers,
eddy

I tried man inxi but I'm not finding the wireless adapter. lspci and lshw but I'm not finding the wireless adapter.

Thanks,

Is it internal wireless, in which case: lspci |grep Network
should work

Or, if it is external: lsusb
should work

Is there a hardware switch to turn it off and on? What is the make and model of your computer?

No, there's no hardware switch to turn it on. It's an HP Envy x350 model 15-fh0023dx. I found it in device manager in windoze, it's a realtek 8852ce. I found the firmware in Synaptic. Marking the thread as solved.

Thanks,
