The keyboard was delivered yesterday. It's about the size of the top of my desk!

When it comes time to replace, I'll look for something smaller and without batteries.

In the meantime, am wondering how many of the hot keys are usable on Linux.

Can someone please give a link to hot key commands for Linux?

The F-key functions are usually preconfigured by the manufacturer on laptops, and they can be different between each brand. These control brightness, sound, video, mouse, sleep, wireless, etc.

Sometimes the operating system (or applications) will take over F-keys, like using F1 for Help is a common practice.

You often need to use the Fn key together with the F-keys to choose between the manufacturer version and the operating system (or app) version of the key mapping.

Some built-in shortcuts may be common between different distros, such as CTRL+ALT+T to open a terminal. You can also map your own keyboard shortcuts with Linux. I made a custom keyboard shortcut using F4 to open a terminal instead, but that defeats the original purpose of the F4 key.
