The webcam on the laptop does not work

When you start the cheese program, the program displays a black screen and says “devices not found”

My webcam is built into my laptop. I'm using the latest version of Ubuntu.

Today, for a few tens of seconds, the webcam started working (via a browser through the desired site, where I just need it)

What can I do to make the camera work?

Using ChatGPT, I was able to find out that to turn on the camera it was necessary to press the Fn + F10 key (or any other F where there is a camera icon)

And it works

This is more common on newer laptops & notebooks, its a security thing

i cant buy it for you but this is probably a thousand times better than your laptop cam and it costs 20 bucks and just straight up works with linux. at least 6.2+ kernel works that i have personally tested anyhow, just make sure you select the input device in audio settings and pick this usb cam : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C48YPP3R?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
