IDK why but many online radios have the bad habit of reducing the bass a lot and suddenly everything starts sounding like put through a cheap garage speaker for $5. So far only i-Heart Throwbacks seems to keep the bass level permanent, but all other radios for whatever reason always keep reducing the levels. If I were using Logitech Z150, I wouldn't even notice. But on a system for $500 bassless sound is a torture. So in the constant game of cat and mouse where I am the mouse, I win again, as always.
Yesterday one of my favorite radios for hip-hop turned down the bass levels again, probably for 10th time this month. Sometimes I think they do it on purpose to piss audiophiles off. But I found a way to force it locally, regardless of what the sound director of the radio has decided.
Then enabled this equalizer profile (highlighted in green), which I'll share, if you want it, and voilà - the radio has bass again, quite decent at that - you'd never guess they're running it bassless!
Forcing the LFE (Low Frequencies Element, otherwise known as "subwoofer") to participate in the audio processing means there will be bass, regardless of anybody's settings.
