Syntaxe to copy local folder ito network folder

    [email protected]:/home# cp -r /home/user smb://server/share/folder

    I'm trying to copy a home folder of an user into a network folder.
    Can someone help me with the syntaxe.

    I'm takinf first steps in linux.

    Just curious, is the Linux box incorporated into the Active Directory domain?

    Does ... smbclient -k -L host_name make you type in Windows credentials?
