I'm fairly new to Linux, so please bear with me.

I have four donated laptops running linux in my classroom- one on Edubuntu and the others on Mint. Since these are going into student hands, I need to be able to see their screens from my Macbook running Sequoia, and no, mine won't update anymore. I keep seeing I should enable Desktop Sharing (or Remote Sharing) through the settings panel. It doesn't exist, at least not on the latest version of Mint. I don't recall if the Edubuntu has it or not, but at the moment I'm working on Mint. I have installed Vino-server to use the VNC, because apparently, Mac Screen Share also is VNC. I can detect the computer from my Mac, but I get the message "Make sure Screen Sharing or Remote Management (in the Sharing section of System Settings) is enabled on the remote computer." This goes back to what I can't find. And no, my school doesn't have a tech department, so I'm on my own.

I'm sure there is a CLI way to do this, but so far I see how to access my mac from linux. That's not what I need. Can anyone help me out here?
