Welcome to the forums
you have been asked to run "dpkg --configure -a" by the synaptic manager because, at some point, you have interrupted an ongoing process [installation or upgrade,]
Run the command and if asked to continue the process press enter, let it run until it has finished. [this may take a short while]
Please advise us which distribution and build name/number you are using

Hello @gabyyy00,
Welcome to the linux.org Forum. which distro are you using?
run the command given in a terminal.
Code:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
post any error message you get.
