Hey everyone,
As you know, I'm a high school student interested in computers. I've been gone from here for quite a while. I'm now using RHEL 10.2, It runs my brand new custom server and laptop and works great. Just curious to know what the community here thinks about RHEL and how good it's security systems actually are.
Thanks,
Gabe

I think it's better to user Rocky Linux or Alma Linux or CentOS because you never know if Red Hat/IBM may change the terms and start to charge you for it. I also don't like subscription-manager is slow and for a personal situation it's just to not have to deal with it. You'd be better of using Fedora, as RHEL uses outdated software which gets back-ported security patches for 10 years so you are going to be behind on newest software and libraries if you also game on your laptop that can be a thing. I've gamed in the past on a RHEL clone and I had some issues which which weren't a problem a more up-to-date distribution. I like selinux as it's quite useful. Nothing else to say about it.

No time to game with schoolwork and robotics.
