This forum is for sharing Linux-related news articles from external sites (Linux news aggregator). Any registered Linux.org user has permissions to post in here.

We're hoping that people will get involved in sharing great Linux articles from around the Internet and perhaps, in time, some could become curators of this new forum section!

Title Format:
[SourceSite] Headline From Source Site
Example: [Phoronix] Linux 6.12 Released With Real-Time Capabilities, Sched_Ext, More AMD RDNA4 & More

Post Body:
  • Include a brief summary or excerpt (2-3 sentences max, ~300 characters)
  • Please do not paste the entire article.
  • Link should be after the excerpt with the raw URL
Example:
As expected, minutes ago Linus Torvalds just released the Linux 6.12 kernel as stable. Linux 6.12 brings many new features, new hardware support, and is rounded out by the fact of expected to become this year's Long Term Support (LTS) kernel version.

(Note: The excerpt above is roughly 280 characters)

Please:
  • Check for duplicates before posting
  • Linux-related news only (distros, kernel, major FOSS projects, industry news)
  • Titles should match source article, can be truncated if it seems too long
  • Link must go to the original source, not blogspam or aggregators
  • Respect the source's copyright - excerpts only, no full copy/paste
  • Linking to your own site/blog is allowed as long as it follows all other guidelines and isn't excessive (don't flood the forum with your own content)
  • Linked articles should be in English
  • No AI generated articles
Duplicates: If someone beat you to it, add your thoughts to their thread instead of creating a new one. Mods will merge/delete duplicate threads.
