Is it normal for Linux Mint to take hours and hours to download?
I gave up when it said 12 hours hours remaining
after 10% downloaded. It's a 1.1Gb file. Is there a Zip file for it?

Are they quicker ways to download (other than ordering the CD's)?
Thanks

Abnormal... Unless your connection speed is not so fast.

Try another mirror or download it via torrent.

I'd forget mint and pick Manjaro for a fresh start.

Could be the server you elected to download from (Debian has a bunch, for example, but I know nothing about Mint). Could be a crummy connection, or your ISP has decided to throttle your connection for some reason. Perhaps they decided that .ISO images are all pirate stuff, who knows?
