I don't know of all the Linux distros out there with Windows specific tools in them but one I have used in the past to repair and recover a Windows installation was KNOPPIX.

The version of KNOPPIX I used had some programs/tools specifically for working on Windows installations. Check it out :)

if you look here : http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp.uni-kl.de/pub/linux/knoppix-dvd/

eg http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/...ux/knoppix-dvd/KNOPPIX_V8.6-2019-08-08-EN.iso

There is knoppix iso 8.6 in english . By first doing a dd to a usb ; firing that up then from the knoppix Desktop there is a icon to install to a usb , this time allowing persistence. Thus i installed extra stuff just using : apt There is already GPArted on there and testdisk ; if clamav wasn't on it put it on etc

Also chntpw (reset password) but i think that was for Windows prior to Windows 10
