Is Debian 12 Bookworm becoming unstable?

I finally updated my Debian 12 computer with the new kernel version. No issues with the update. However, I ended up installing Kubuntu 23.10 on my other computer, which was on LMDE 6. It has just what that computer needs as well as a better desktop environment. I could not get it on Debian because the System 76 drivers for the KSys76 power profile widget cannot be found in the Bookworm repos, but that machine seems to run more efficiently on Kubuntu anyway. Tuxedo OS was a bust; some issues with it while testing it on a live USB.

Debian 12.3 release in December was a failure due ...
I experienced some problems myself about that release. But I wouldn't call Debian 12 a failure. :-)

However, it does have a sound issue where the audio drops out randomly. Happens in VLC, Zoom, Dragon Player, an SDR program —anything that outputs audio. The problem is in pipewire-pulse.

I'm not the only one, but I don't think it's very common. I've searched and tried many things, but I finally gave up. I now use Manjaro, where both audio and video playback are much smoother. On both, it's KDE Plasma.

I'll eventually be installing Debian 13 in place of 12.9, also in a dual-boot configuration with Manjaro.
