Installation problem on very old laptop

Dear all
Thank you.

My puppy is up and running perfectly.

What was the problem after installation:

There were 3 drives in windows. c ,d and e all with 30 to 40 gb each
While installing Linux it shows me sda1, sda5 and sda6. I assumed sda1 is c drive, so I installed puppy in sda1.
Later I found there are AntiX and windows lying around in sda5. So I installed puppy again in sda5.

Now at start up it shows all 3 OS puppy on top, antiX on second and windows on third. If I do not choose any for 5-10 sec, puppy automatically boots up. :)

And I would like to thank @MikeWalsh , @Brickwizard , @ML_113 @osprey @arochester and @kc1di for your valuable suggestions. without you guys, I would not have installed it properly.

so the only option I got from all these are is:

MX can be installed in any laptop but with PAE option

AntiX can be installed in old laptop but with 1GB ram is must. And PAE is not necessary ( I got failed on this because I have less than 1gb ram), but I will try again after I get 1 gb ram.

Sparky 4.13 needs Al least 1 gb ram for non PAE machine

Puppy Tahrpup 6.0 can be installed successfully for non PAE machine

Non PAE machine also means 32 bit. I guess 64 bit machines all have PAE.

Well now I have to check whether all of my hardwares work properly or not. Like sound, video, etc.

And pls tell me how can I tag this thread as solved.
