hp laptop wifi stable issues rtl8821ce adapter

Hello can anyone help me im having a conenction issue with a laptop with wifi the adpater is the rtl8821ce it was working fine when i first instlaled and was using ubuntu 20.04lts but the last 2kws the wifi has been reading 30-44% and it sometimes kicks the laptop off the net before it was like around 60% any idea why and what i can do to fix it would a differnet distro fix this issue or is there a fix within ubuntu 20.04 any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can try installing the dkms driver and then reboot your system and see if your connection improves.

sudo apt-get install rtl8821ce-dkms

It is installed thru the software updater already n ya that issue is happening
