How to extend my desktop

Hello,
Thank you for letting me join this forum and as time goes on I'll learn more about Linux, but at present I am a complete novice.
My question is this - I have Linux on my laptop but how do I make it that I can work from 2 screens and I can move a web page from the desktop on my laptop to a bigger screen?

On your laptop, you should have keys with symbols that represent laptop only/external only/both internal & external.

Welcome to the forums.

If you have a laptop, there should be the F4 key to change viewports, as camtaf said already. It should be enough to press it alone, not while holding Fn.
