Hello guys

I'm Edward, from the UK! I am relatively new too Linux, aside from a bit of end user stuff such as dabbling in Mint and Ubuntu. I want to start looking at Linux a lot more seriously at the moment, and start learning how to sysadmin it in the workplace.

If there are any Linux based trusts/orgs/charities who do free roll outs of Linux and admin for free let me know as I would be eager to get involved!

Regards

I don't think there are any examples that it works that way. Voluntary Organisations don't set up Linux for other groups for free.

There are organisations that set up Linux for Voluntary Organisations for money. Look at e.g.
http://www.communitytechnology.org.uk/linux/ and http://www.seedsforchange.org.uk/linuxmigration

What you can get involved on might depend where in the UK you are based. You might be better to look for your local LUG (Linux Users Group) and get involved with that initially. Have a look at https://lug.org.uk/uklugs

(The Comm-Tech site mentions BLAG which have their own Fedora based distro. Kind of interesting if you can stand the anarchist/left wing bit!)
