Hello!
a little backround:
Used mint, printer worked fine, used omarchy, it worked fine on there too, but now using CachyOs, for some reason i cant get the printer connected, ive looked into the other post about it, but the commands didnt work (see https://www.linux.org/threads/brother-printer-inaccessible-from-linux.57338/) I have never used cups commands before, read through the manual a bit, but my terminal says the commands aren't valid... (tried cups ipinfo)
im not experienced with using cups, all my past distros just worked out of the box with my printer.
also I used a document scanner on omarchy but cant find it for some odd reason even though both cahcy and omarchy are arch based. anyone know the name of a simple document scanner? (yes ive already searched via pacman -Ss ..."print" "document scanner" etc.) simple scan is what I was using, found it.
