News [Azure] Update on the Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Application Routing add-on, the Ingress API, and Ingress-NGINX

The Kubernetes SIG Network and the Security Response Committee have announced the upcoming retirement of the Ingress NGINX project, with maintenance ending in March 2026.

Microsoft will provide official support for Application Routing add-on Ingress NGINX resources through November 2026 and only for critical security patches during this period.

This is handy for me, as ingress nginx in k8s only has official support until March of 2026.. we use it at work (using Azure AKS) so it's nice they're extending support on it.
