Most modern distros offer the option to do this "automagically" for you, when installing and presented with the options choose as @wizardfromoz told you toMy question is which partitions should i put on? I know i need /, boot, nd home. please let me know exactly where to place them so that my Linux could work divine please and thank you.
Then boot from your Linux Mint Live medium and launch the Ubiquity Installer.
This time
- choose to erase disk and install LInux (if you are sure) and
- do NOT choose LVM nor Encrypt Home.
Let the Installer do the rest for you and then reboot into your new OS.
