Hi again, So i installed wine through terminal but trying to open wine results in my computer slowing down for a brief 15-30 Seconds and want to remove it. How can i remove it?

will keep that in mind. but updating the kernal per the link osprey sent in the other thread fixed all issues and it is able to shutdown normally.

the link osprey sent to fix the problem worked. Im now up and running 100%!

After Updating the kernal as commanded in the forum in regards to that, these changes occured -it restarted normally (not via force shutdown) -monitor issue addressed -wi-fi issue addressed

idk if the linux-firmware is this: https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=linux-firmware but i dont see one for linux mint.

ok, another issue popped up. computer is refusing to shut down.

That message never happened, but upon force shutdown, linux is working. i did continue in a new thread regarding monitor and wi-fi issues. (and potentially brightness control issues when not connected to the dock).

Force shutdown was initiated. so far, installation was perfect and on linux mint.

ok, the blinking "_" is still there.

Installation was a success, rebooted and as of now, idk if this is normal but the "_" is blinking for like 4 minutes. no movement from there since.
